Spring brings the idea of new beginnings sharply into focus for me every year. Somehow dirt and a tangle of roots brings an unending variety of life to the surface. Maybe that's why I'm addicted to digging in the dirt, and the bulbs and perennials that fill my yard.
But even though I plan the garden and the way I think it might be in bloom, it is never quite what I expected. You can never really plan for what actually takes root and comes to life. And so it is every day with each thing we do. You never quite know which seeds you are sowing, which new things you are trying, will be the ones that might change your life. So keep exploring the possibilities. There's no time like today to try.
